The Dejounte Murray had a great High School and College Career. On March 23, 2016, Murray declared for the NBA draft, forgoing his final three years of college eligibility. On June 23, 2016, Murray was selected by the San Antonio Spurs with the 29th overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft. Rainier Beach High School (Seattle, Wash.) – Dejounte “Baby Boy” Murray was the 2015 Washington Gatorade Men’s Basketball Player of the Year, WIAA Mr. Basketball, Seattle Times and Tacoma News Tribune Player of the Year…ranked No. 49 in the ESPN 100 for the class of 2015 averaging 25 points, 12.4 rebounds and posted 24 double-doubles and 14 triple doubles during his senior season. University of Washington 2015-16 (Freshman): Started all 34 games… named to the Pac-12 All-Conference Second-Team and Pac-12 All-Freshman Team… scored double figures in 26 of 34 games. He led all Pac-12 freshmen averaging 16.1 points, 4.4 assists, 1.8 steals and second averaging 6 rebounds… led the team in scoring 11 times… set record for assists by a freshman in program history with 151… finished second in all-time freshman points (548) and steals (62), and third in rebounds with 203.
